PNC Bank Statement Example PDF

A preview of the usual PNC bank statement format, including transactions, dates, descriptions, and balances.

Where to download a PNC bank statement PDF

A PNC statement PDF is available two ways, and both give you the same official file. Online, sign in to PNC Online Banking at pnc.com, open Statements & Documents, pick the account and the month, and download the PDF. On a phone, open the PNC Mobile app, tap the account, find Statements or Documents, and save or share the file from there.

Go with whichever is faster. The online and in app versions are identical.

How to convert a PNC bank statement PDF

A PDF is readable but stubborn to edit. When you need the transactions in rows and columns, use a bank statement converter rather than copying and pasting each transaction one by one. Upload your PNC PDF and it pulls out the dates, descriptions, and amounts.

After that, export to Excel for sorting and formulas, or to CSV for importing into accounting and bookkeeping software. The columns hold their shape through the conversion.

How to view a password protected PNC bank statement PDF

If the PNC file you downloaded is password protected, you'll be asked for the PDF password before it opens. PNC Bank usually bases that password on your own details, so the email the statement came with should tell you the exact format.

Once it opens, you can convert it even though it's password-protected. Type the PDF password when prompted and the transactions can be read and exported.

PNC bank statement release date

A common question is when does a PNC statement come out and when will it be available to download. It's normally ready a day or two after your statement cycle closes, and that holds for Virtual Wallet accounts too.

The release date is tied to your statement cycle instead of the first of the month, so it lands near the same date each month. If that date falls on a weekend or holiday, the statement may post the next business day.

What does a PNC bank statement look like

The header shows the logo: the orange-and-blue PNC Bank logo, and on a Virtual Wallet statement you'll often see Spend, Reserve, and Growth labels. The body uses a plain, business-style sans-serif font. Your name and a masked account number sit near the top, with a summary of opening and closing balances and a dated list of transactions below.

The transaction lines rely on abbreviations. On a PNC statement you'll regularly see POS Purchase, Debit Card Purchase, ATM Withdrawal, and Recurring Debit Card. Knowing what they mean keeps both the statement and the spreadsheet easy to read.
